About PinnockHQ
With the advent of the internet and e-mail, genealogy has become less of an uphill struggle,
being able to share information with other members of the family has certainly made things easier.
My father (Alan) and I (Martyn) decided that a website to help anyone who is researching the Pinnock family name
by collating as much information about the family name in one place would be a useful tool.
Needless to say, this is a slow but dynamic process and as time goes by, we
hope that this site will become a useful resource
for not only the Pinnock family but also any genealogists researching Pinnock
connections.
The West London side of the Pinnock family has been researching the family history for over 25 years
and has made many interesting discoveries along the way.
This research started from the old family tales of my grandfather being the 12th George Pinnock in the lineage
and that the eldest male was always called George.
This has been something that
has been difficult to prove as the trail has gone cold at number 8!
So far our part of the current family tree has been traced back to the early
1750's, but as usual, there are still some gaps
as well as some interesting finds, but most excitingly, through this website, we
have discovered some new relatives.
