Births, Marriages, & Deaths Section
The BMD pages are made up of information about registrations
during each quarter of the year.
They are listed in the following format:-
Births:
Surname - First name(s) -
Mother (if known) -
District registered -
Book Volume Number - Page
Marriages:
Surname - First name(s) - Spouse/Maiden Name (if known) -
District registered -
Book Volume Number - Page
Births:
Surname - First name(s) - Age (if Known) -
District registered -
Book Volume Number - Page
If a child was born in May, they will appear in the registration quarter
up to June.
However, if a child was born in December, they will have been registered during
the March quarter
For example:
My Great Grandfather was born December 1869 but was registered during Q1 (March)
1901 Islington District, Volume 1b page 350
